About The Cash Dad

A Personal Finance Blog for Those who are Sick of Debt!

Hi! I’m the Cash Dad. Otherwise known as “daddy”, “da-da”, or Chris. I’m a mechanical engineer by trade. And while I have my own way of thinking (usually – I’m always right *wink*), my wife and work together when it comes to our finances. We made mistakes, and learned from them. And I hope that through this site I can help you to improve your financial situation too.

We have 3 children (2 boys,1 girl), and we are working hard towards a debt free life and the financial freedom that brings.

We’re almost there. We only have our mortgage to go. It’s been a road not without it’s potholes and bumps along the way. And I’ll tell you about it in a future post, but for now, let me tell you more about this site and some of my plans for thecashdad.com.

The Cash Dad Logistics

If you’re arriving here from CYinnovations, I appreciate you sticking with me. Things may look a little different, but some of the posts will be similar. It’s still the same me, and I hope the new location can lend some focus and excitement to the realm of personal finance.

I’ll be publishing new content once a week – Mondays to be precise.

I’ll be concentrating on personal finance topics, such as getting out of debt, budgeting, saving more cash (obviously!), and how to teach your kids to do the same.

And while I’m certainly not a financial adviser or an expert, I do have plenty of practical experience to lean on. My family and I are on the road to success, and I can show you how we did it.
